Met Dave (MaverickGrabber) Saturday morning and got to work pulling the Mav I bought on eBay apart. A little over 6 hours later and after a Pizza break I had everything I wanted loaded in my truck ... Dave got the glass, engine and the carcass! Thanks again Dave ....

As for rarities ... This car had the white bucket interior, radio delete with a funky looking cardboard backing where the radio would have been. Also had a buck tag on the radiator support. Car ended up only having 33,000 original miles. All the clutch parts including all the boots were in great condition .... but the car was so rotted we felt no remorse tearing it apart.

Also strange the engine compartment was black ... appeared to be original as well ..

I have seen a few 1971's with black engine compartment.

I would like to see a picture of the radio delete if you have one...never seen one on a 1971.

My 72 also has a black engine bay that is original. I do not know why, but it is original.

This is also a 1972 car ... I'll get some pics of the radio delete when I unpack everything.

MY 70 under hood paint was same color as car. Mr Hines I would not have felt bad stripping it either. Saw it at the Patalska Mini Meet(thanks again dave). Good parts car but not salvagable. :smash:

I picked up a car last weekend, got it to the shop at 930, cut into about 1000pcs and what was left that I didn't want, loaded backl on the trailer by 5pm. Torches and tractors are great:D

Here are some pics of the radio delete on the package tray. I cleaned up the interior best I could ... It is suitable for daily driver but not a show car ... Someday I'll take to the upholstery guy about repairing the seat section without replacing the entire thing. Here are some parts I consider holy grail parts because I have been looking for them for a long, long time. Upper Clutch pedal return spring, Engine Side z-bar pivot and a perfect clutch rod seal! I'm currently using a modified GTO z-bar pivot and if that were to fail my car would be undriveable ... Now I have a spare ... :)

My 71 is a no options car. I beleive it is just a piece of cardbord (or what ever that material is) stapeled to the package tray to give it a back.
