Well, it's looking more and more that it'll make the debut at the Emergency Vehicle Owners & Operators Association East Coast Meet October 14 in Fairfax. Likely, heck definately, it'll be the only Mav there. We were also invited to a celebration right after the elections in Georgetown, Delaware which highlights historic police vehicles in their city parade. We plan to attend. Another first for the Mavs!! The radio, siren, and windshield pillar spotlight are installed and working (radio is just for show). A whip type antenna is on the left quarter. The interior has seen new paint on the inner doors and redying of the armrests and dash cap which came out beautifully. I'd highly recommend dying your parts with a touch up spray gun rather than rattle cans. Does a much more professional job and isn't as hard as you may think if you have no experience with sprayers. The car is going back to the body shop next weekend to sand down a few imperfections and paint the wheels black. The flashing lights for the package shelf and behind the grille are going in this week sometime. The bucket seat covers from Custom Interiors, whom I highly recommend for their quality, price and excellent customer service, are here and going in soon also. The markings are going on after the car comes home again next weekend. The new rear bumper went on the other day. I'm not sure if I'll have time to put in the rear prisoner cage before the 13th, but I'll sure try. It's more to keep the dog out of the front seats since it's a K9 car. I'll post completed pix as soon as the markings are on. I really appreciate the support you guys gave on this project.
i think thats a neat idea! i can't wait to see what it looks like when its done! how about a taxi next!
