I'm trying to figure out exactly what I need. I think Edelbrock 1483 is the right part, but then there's a throttle brakcet #1490 that says to use with 1483 "if necessary". I'm not currently using any aftermarket brackets with my stock throttle cable and not having any issues, just don't have the kickdown hooked up yet. Anybody got this setup that can help me out? I did a search but nothing I saw said 'this is what I use, yes it works', just one that said 'you may need the kickdown extension', and the only one of those I find on the net is for Holley carbs.

I answered your other post on the other board...but I will answer here as well. I used both parts on my car (400m). When you put on the #1483....it pushes/moves all the connections out toward the outside of the car....in effect...making the carb "wider". The #1490 is what moves the accelorator bracket over to compensate for this.

    If you need help......call me.
