Picked up a set of rear HURST Adjustable Drag Shocks. All I knew was that they fit a Maverick. When I took a look at them, they obviously do not mount like the rears on a 72. Are rear shocks for the very early cars different? I've never worked with the 7.5 rear axle.

You bought them from me .... The 70's don't have staggered shocks but all year Mavericks use the same ones ...

Yea, I just went and did a quick look at the mounts. My mistake, I was thinking about the way Mustang and Cougars mount, with the straight rod up into the rear of the trunk. These will fit fine.

I don't think I bought them from you Dan, as the box is post marked from New York. I might have, I do buy and sell a lot of parts. These were a throw in deal with a gas cap I bought this summer off ebay. I won the gas cap and he asked if I could use the shocks too. I think I paid $20 for the pair. Does that sound right?
