So what did everyone get .I was there got some good stuff.Didn`t see anyone I could remember .Did meet a few new people with mavericks. And sold a couple of my spare maverick toys.
I was there. The only thing I found there was a 1970-1972 radio bezel. Saw lots of Maverick/Comet parts...but not nearly as much as I have in the past. I ran into George (GEO from this board I believe) and I also sold some parts to those that arranged to pick them up there. One Maverick for sale in the car corral. Can't wait till the Spring Swap.
We had to pass, too. Wilbur can't use his hands very well now and some days driving is impossible for him. The specialist says it rhumatoid arthritis. He's in alot of pain and he's getting very depressed. It's what he needed to cheer him up, it was too cold for his hands.
I'm sorry to hear about the arthritis. Not having full use of the hands without being in pain is a horrible feeling - I know. I have a skin condition on my hands (Dishydrosis) that keeps me from working on my Maverick. After I work on it a while, my hands get very dry and start to crack and bleed - not a good feeling. That's a huge reason why it's taken me so long to build up my Maverick. I either bear down and work on it knowing I'm going to pay for it later (by the subsequent pain) or just wait and pay someone to do the work for me. I hadn't thought about getting me a chauffer out of the deal though, Wilbur!
