How did I forget that one? Looking at pics of your Mav is never boring. I went to the Gallery & looked again. That's one awesome car!
Are those extensions fiberglassed smoothly into the fenders and trunk lid? I want to do that with mine, it looks so much better than the "bolt-on" look.
they are bonded on, but not with fiberglass...fiberglass wont hold up to the stresses and will crack. I experimented with several things and I think ended up using jb weld(sounds weird but worked great)
But is looks "seamless", unless it is a trick of the light. I have mine installed, but there is a quick bump between the sheetmetal and the fiberglass material of the extensions...I want to fill that area in so it is a smooth transition, and looks like one smooth piece of material. Yours might just have a really nice and shiny paintjob distracting me from the transition... Looks really good!
I will post a pic of my '77 when it gets out of the shop. Should be in about 3-4 weeks. I'm using a spoiler, but not a Maverick spoiler.:evilsmile
it is seemless,... didnt say it was an instant thing to do, but wasnt too hard either. as for nice shiney paint- if you know much about shiney paint, the shinyier it is, the better your prep and body better be, or youll see more flaws. and thanks always nice to hear a compliment
