Motormax also came out with a 1/24 Gremlin and are planning on making a 1/64 Gremlin and a Pacer so not only am i freaking out over the new PIntos and Mavvies,but the Gremlins and Paces too.motormax needs to crap or get off the pot here as theres a bunch of us here dying to get ahold of these toys er i mean'collectables' :D

Ever since I found them, they have yet to restock, and I bought all they had.
Motormax website doesn't work. And they also have AMC Gremlin's & Hornets too! But, I only have seen the Ford's so far, and so far only 2 colors of each car. So, I don't have any duplicates yet. When, and if they do re-stock I will be buying all of them again. And as soon as that happens I will help you all out, I have 2 other Wal-Farts to check that aren't as close to me, but no farther than 1/2 hour away, I'll make up some excuse to go into that part of the woods, like an auction or flea market. If my wife find's out I'm just driving around looking for $1.99 cars when gas is now $2.63 a gallon she'll pop the bulging vein in her forhead! Did you happen to look at the UPC code for the 1:24 Pinto?
They would be the same if it came in a Maverick model (I think). I could see if my Walmart toy dept. lady could order some for me. Do we know for sure if they (Maverick 1:24) are out there? Either way, it's worth a try to order some and see.

If the UPC numbers are the same... they can order them but they dont know which one they are getting... as they are the same order #

I was at Wal-Fart today, and found out who runs the toy dept. Spoke with her at length about these cars. Apparently, when I bought them, it was the same day they stocked them, so they were never given a store tage on the shelves! LOL. :clap:

So, if I bring one back tomorrow morning, she'll run the bar code and order a couple of cases of them. :)

So, that was encouraging, but the discouraging part was they can't request specific colors, as they are coming from china! :angry: And what they get is what they get. So, I'll do my part tomorrow, and bring one in for her, and we'll see what happens from there.

I think they must be exclusive to Hell-Mart, cuz Toys-R-us never heard of them, and Target didn't have anything either.

I just found some of these this morning while looking for the JL Mavs. I bought all they Mavs they had 2 reds 2 yellows and a Pinto. Already got custom wheels on one Yellow one!

I was tooling around the net today and tried www.motormaxtoy.com (http://www.motormaxtoy.com/) (not motormaxtoys) got to the web site and placed a call to the sales rep there. He was a bit blunt:mad: to say the least. I tried to be polite and showed much interest in the items and in short he said... NO! we won't be making any Mavericks in 1:24 scale... NO! There will not be a second run in different colors... And finally NO! You can not place an order thruogh us. So... I figured my next best bet would be to give a call to China and try my luck there. There is or must be a demand for them so why should there be such rude and inconciderate people working for a company. We are in fact paying this guy with our purchases' are we not...?:16suspect

Since finding the two I started this thread with I have had no luck in finding any others. (5-6 WalMarts near me) Toy dept. people were cool enough to place orders for me but the "higher ups" always seem to kill the order before it can be placed. I just don't want to see these just go away before we all can get our hands on as many as we want. Without the Epay markups... :bs:

In response to information I posted earlier stating "Most Hotwheels have the same bar code too. :thumbsup: That doesn't keep Wally world from ordering those.". The short cards have a differnt UPC than the regular sized cards that Hotwheels come on. There, I may have saved some credibility. If I had some to begin with. :slap:

I found some, @ Walmart in Jonesboro, Arkansas........I bought all 8, 4 yellows, 3 reds and 1 white...........The guy in the toy dept. said he remembered some Blue ones but wasn't sure. He said they will have some more in about 3 weeks when they are shipped. He actually showed me on his stock control computer.

I finally got one! :woohoo1: Stopped by a Walmart today and low and behold, there they were. They had about 5 blue Pintos, about the same number of Mustang II's and one lonely white Maverick. That little Maverick has a home now.:D I sure hope they get a few of the other colors in stock soon.

Anything can be doctored, if you got a good printer you could probabally print out your own matching car. Someone else on here did it for a Orange one with grabber stripes and all.

Not only that but the pictures of the 3 that you showed were easily done in a paint program from the picture that I posted from the motormax site.

The one in the package doesn't even match up to that first shot either.:huh:

If there really is a purple one, I hope more start showing up, but this is the first I've heard anyone mention it until now. The green one I found was on the motormax website. But, none of their links as to where you can buy them are very fruitful. I found one site that had a set of six cars 2 pintos, 2 mavericks & 2 mustang II's

The selection in the early 70's was much better .... Many different Plastic models, plastic toys, metal/tin Mavericks, Tonka Maverick, Hot wheels and Johnny Lightning Mavericks, dealer promos, etc ...

Nothing new at my 5 area stores in weeks.

The orange JL Maverick is not sold in stores because it is considered for "adult" people due to the girl on the card. It has "adult" written on the lower left corner. I have also noticed the Fresh Cherry Maverick's are becoming harder to find. I don't think they made too many green grabbers.
