I've been chasing this gremlin for over a month now, and it's getting worse and worse. When I'm driving my maverick, we'll say 30 mph, and I turn the wheel a few degrees to the right, the front suspension (I think) starts vibrating and making a warbling noise. This is the best I can describe it. When I bring the wheel back to center, the vibes go down, but not away completely. My '71 has an all new front suspension, new brakes, and new tires. I've checked the brakes, passenger wheel bearing, suspension torque, you name it. I can't figure it out, does anyone have an ideas?
make sure the balance on the front tires are good and you dont have one out of balance. even new this can happen. also, make sure the bearings are snugged up. not too tight, but also not too loose. they could have settled in a little more and have slack now.
My '72 did that for about 3 weeks before the wheel bearing and race completely self destructed. I think it had something to do with the race it self spinning around inside the hub.
