Has anyone successfully used any of the Mustang swap headers in their 351w Maverick ? I searched the archives and couldn't find any definite answers.
    Thanks, Darrel

I ordered a set of Hedman engine swap headers a few years ago...but never really tried to get them to fit. I just sort of eyeballed it and decided they wouln't work and returned them. I ended up using my 302 Hooker headers which I tapped with a body hammer(to expand, not dent) to headers to fit... and to clear all the under car items....took a few hours but they fit(but not super). I've had them on for about 5 years now with no problems...

Grabber71, any chance you have some pics of your engine with headers installed ? Is that the 351w in your gallery ? If so, how in the heck do you change your plugs ??

    Thanks, Darrel

I can change the plugs in a little over an hour. I first remove the valve covers then use a sparkplug socket and an open end wrench. The two centre plugs on each side are the most difficult...but still no real problem. Here is a few pics I posted quite awhile back...

Are those 6901's ? I have a set of early Blackjack 302 headers with square collectors. Hate to trash them but I only paid $30. for them. If I can manipulate them to fit I think it would be better than using stock manifolds.

Hey Don, 4 years on spark plugs ? WOW ! BTW, I was reading an old post on this subject, do you still have the headers in your shed you used on your "W" ?
