They do insure project cars ... they are reasonable but you are not supposed to use your car as a daily driver ...

Hagerty provides coverage for vehicles that are used on an occasional basis -- e.g. club functions, exhibitions, organized meets, tours and limited pleasure driving.

You can get a quote on thier website ..

Not sure what you are doing to your 72 but Insuring it for $60 - $80K will probably raise some eyebrows at Hagerty unless you have an appraisal ...

I'm getting classic insurance on mine, thru State Farm. Going to insure it for $17,000 to $20,000....Only reason for going with them, is because I have all my cars thru them. They also know, it isn't my daily driver. Can only put 1,200 miles on it per year. Same thing for the State, with collector plates....

Yes! I thought about that. That's why I waited until I got back this year, to get classic insurance. If I go again, I'll have to let them know about the milage.

actually its more on the order of 52,500-70,000...but regardless,..I'm going by cost to duplicate (which is what I did on the 77). I expect the appraisal to be along those lines as well .
