What is the diffrence between a standard package tray and a 69 1/2? In other words, could I mount a 69 1/2 ignition switch on a standard package tray by drilling holes or whatever? Thanks.
About the only difference is the webbing that is cast into the tray to add strength. You will probably have to sand down a little to get the switch in the correct location. Another interesting differences in these trays is that the early 70s trays are alot thicker castings, Underneath there is no reinforcement webbing the entire length.
On the 1969 1/2 dash tray I just looked at.........it was also re-inforced with a sepreate plastic piece the entire length underneath. Very strange.
why not use a 691/2 tray . earl, james edwards and i went "junkyarding" today and saw a 691/2 tray with keys...frank...
Oh Oh!!!! People are already starting to clone the ulta rare Mavericks. Probably gonna make a fortune on some unsuspecting person.
Was the steering column in the car? I wouldn't mind switching over my 74 to a 69 1/2 style ignition ... let me know if Jamie doesn't take it!
