I was looking at a few parts numbers and had some question of what they should be. First I was looking for the original air cleaner sticker, I found a reproduction sticker which says D1AF, but for the comets shouldnt it be D1MF or D1GF ? Which brings me to my second question what should the original Block casting be for a 1971 Comet GT?
The part numbers are pretty much universal between models unless it's model specific parts like a fender or something. That air cleaner was probably used on several diffrent models at the time. You're only provideing the date part of the part number... it is a 1971 part. Why are you so intrested?
