Any one know what 1/4 mile times Dyno Don ran in his maverick in 71-72

    i was at the world finnals in dallas texas( louisville) i think it was 1970or71 the maverick team(TWO CARS ON ONE TRUCK) was their i have a 8 mm tape( now on vcr tape) of the men and the car the hood was off and they were working on it not sure who the men are cant remenber any times on the cars I WAS ABOUT 22 ALL WAS LOOKING AT WAS THE TWO GIRLS MISS HURST SHIFTER RIDEING ON THE TRUNK OF A NEW 442 OLDS BOY THEY WERE SOMETHING THEY ARE ON THE TAPE it,s a great tape has most of the hot cars on it mopar team sox&martin cuda the chevy and ford teams had nothing for them maybe someone will read this that was on the maverick team over 30 years a go that has the times on the S/S maverick team I HAVE A TAPE OF THEM ????????

    In 1972 he was running in the 9.80's at around 150 mph.

    I thought about the times that he was running in 1972. Those times are pretty amazing if you consider how technology has grown in the last 30 years(as far as performance parts goes) and what it takes to run those times today! Them guys where true pioneers!

    yeah i would like to see some old video of his runs i think it would be cool to talk to him see what little tricks they did to the car theres not a lot on the net like no web page will prob have to wait till he is dead before they dig out some old videos and set up a Rip page for him :mad:

    Last night I searched "dyno don" and there is quite a bit of info. Thats how I found out what kind of times he was running. There was some pretty cool sites. :)
