so i finally fired up my car last night. it's ben down for 6 months now and 2 engines later the 351w sounds good. expecialy with opean exhaust headers. now all i need is a new fuel pump and she should run with out pouring gas down the carb.
well i have been driving it around all afternoon. then i sliced my oil pressure gage pick up tube and sprayed oil all over my enigine compartment. i layed this 80 ft tire mark in front of my friends house. spins tires like no other. i can't wait to get my ford 9" on and a detroit locker with 3.25 gears in it and a new cam plus a 4 brl intake. hey i used hooker comp 6901's and i would not recomend using them on a 351w they don't fit very well at all. i had to adjust them with a hammer many times and then i had to have it rerouted at a muffler shop. some were on this board there is talk about using some headman 83???some things i'm not too sure but i bet some one knows what they are.
Glad you got her going enough to make a short trek. I'm not sure which other headers you're talking about. I have the Hooker 6208's (1-3/4 primaries) on my 302 block. FWIW, I do not recommend them - not for lack of performance, they're just cost prohibitive.
