Hey ya'll I can't remember, does a 302 in a mav require a front or rear sump oil pan? Thanks, Preston
My 5.0 is to be used as a drag car. The pump pickup is located at the rear. This way, under a long duration of acceleration, the oil pump will be sure to pick up oil as the g force will cause the oil to go to the rear. my 02.
Its a double edged sword. A buddy of mne has a slowmaro, he has a rear sump, when he gets to the end of the track and lets off the gas, the car nose dives and he looses oil pressure.
yes the factory ford rear sump or double-hump pans will hit the center link on a factory suspension/steering setup. The front sump pans are the only ones that will fit a factory chassis.
