I got a little bored and decided to "correct" one of my yellow Fresh Cherries cars.

Just to make it look a little more "life-like"...

now every time you do something to the big car you're going to have to do it to the model also. unless you want to keep it for a before and after shot. i like it.:D

I just recently found these Cherries at my walmart, then went to the surrounding walmarts to find 2nd and 3rd yellow ones (I would like to keep one in the original package, unharmed...er...unaltered). I really like Don's idea of modifying them to match my car at various stages of "growth". Then I can date the packages and have an evolution line on the wall :D

I will admit, though. I gave up on Hot Wheels years ago. Just recently, when I acquired the Maverick, did I start to look for, and collect various Maverick die-casts. I am not an "enthusiast"...I just have a large blank spot on my wall that I need to fill in, and filling it in with models, especially "custom" models, seems like a fine idea.

The wife walked in and saw them, and despite being a self-reknown interior (and exterior) decorator, she LOVED what I had done.

Hey shaunh82 (or anyone else) who can't find these locally, I see them all the time at the Wally Worlds around here.....I have no problem picking some up for anyone, just pay the actual price + first class shipping which is usually less than $2.00.

Been there myself, paid 6 bucks in shipping for one Hot Wheels car and had it arrive in a 63 cent stamped envelope :bs:

I second that...I cannot find a bunch of them, but there are still 3-4 in the local stores. I would gladly buy and ship for cost, plus a couple bucks more for packaging and gas to drive around.

I just haven't found any blue ones yet. Lots of Mustang IIs and Pintos, and I don't know why the other car is an AMC...

Not to change the subject; but I am painting my Jo-Han Maverick model with the original Gold paint that my real Maverick is.

I have two of the yellow Fresh Cherries Mavericks and I just got a white Johnny Lightning Grabber this weekend...

I have been changin my mind on what i want to do with my car, but heres a prototype i've been making, my real mav will be different colors(grabber blue and black) but it will have the same crager wheels and camaro spoiler.And i hope i can get the same stance:bouncy:
