I took my 75 Maverick in to be aligned and I was told the power assist on the steering linkage was shot. Where do I a kit to rebuild it?

Rebuilding it is a b!tch. I believe that new ones are available for around $175. Autokrafters is one source...

There are 2 components that could go bad down on the linkage. One is the control valve and the other is the slave cylinder. You need to find out which one is bad. Probably its the control valve since thats where it connects the linkage to the pitman arm. Check your local parts store. They probably have rebuilt units. Also check any Mustang supply houses. CJ Poney Parts has the control valve for $160. You will have to use your old one for an exchange.

Which is the part that leaks, the slave cylinder or the control valve? I have a major power steering fluid leak and it's not the pump or the hoses...

There is not a leak that I know of. The front end wanders when the wheel is held straight.
I am depending on a repairman for explanation.
