about to get tank vatted

    I'm about to get it vatted(sp) and was wondering if I should go ahead and replace the sending unit while I'm there, although the one in it now does work?

    alright, ex nay on the sender, how about if anyone knows an easy way to pull the tank. I'm having problems witht the filler neck right now

    Once you take out the 5 screws holding the filler neck to the light panel, you should be able to twist and pull the neck out of the tank. That grommet at the tank (when sealing good) is pretty tight.

    If your sending unit is still working and isn't rusty, I would just put it back in. You might want to get a new seal, though. (Ford dealers still sell the seal).

    but I would have to get a new tank, and a welder......this is quicker and easier. if I do change it up, I'm going with a fuel cell.thanks tho
