Hi, I finialy got my My 1974 Maverick Grabber out of winter storage and got it ready for the season! I had to replace the battery it was dead and would not jump start. It ran fine except for a fuel leak at the pump whitch turned out to be just lose hose clamps! Got lucky on that one! I cleaned my Maverick an then went for that first ride! Theres nothing better! I got the car in August, 2002 it is still new to this area, everyont that saw it was shocked! Thumbs up This is so much fun. It looks like I came right out of 1974. I have same year manufacture plates 1973 with 74 tab in the lower right corner. I even have a A Pat Mullugan Ford dealer license plate frame. It looks like I just got the car noe even a vear ago. You got to love it. I think is oing to be a good year! Joe Riggio
I'm with ya. In less than 2 weeks is Ford Carlisle and its really the beginning of the season for car stuff down here. After that, there is almost a show somewhere locally every weekend and some during the week.
What's winter storage?? We just hit 10,000 miles sence the rebuild last May, more miles than I wanted but the Mustang won't stop breaking clutch cables. So I've been having fun driving the Maverick, I love that car to bad you guy's can't enjoy your year round like we can
Hey Thomas, with all those miles you are racking up on the Maverick, are you at all interested in coming over to Vallejo in September for "Fun Ford Sunday"? I know a few other Mavs coming, I am as well, and I am looking for more. The more the better. Email me at cricket3@pacbell.net, and I'll send you an entry form if you want. If anyone else in the Bay Area/Nor Cal Area is interested let me know as well. Thanks. -Corbin P.S. Mavaholic is right though, we sure do pay over here.
I would love to come up there for your show but, I may be going to the desert for a while, I find out for sure later this week. You can send me the info, we normally go to route 66 here in town in September.
