I think they're the same thing as the 69-71 mustang's one. Hope it helps.

Here is the info you need, now with that said I'm not going to refer this company just give you the info and let you make the call.

MAS Racing Products
Their phone number is 651-644-6811
Address; 2288 University Ave #917 St Paul, MN 55114

I think the cost is either 39 or 45.00 I can't remember.

The fiberglass they sell is ok but the bumper are a little smaller then stock, not sure on the spoiler.

Good luck.

If your talking about a chin spoiler, they are available from MAS Racing Products. I have seen these and they look like they fit real nice. I just ordered one myself. Cost was $50 plus shipping.

I just got my chin spoiler from MAS. Its not the best quality but for $50 I guess its ok. I really dont have anything to compare it to. The thing will need alot of work to make it look good including glassing a very thin spot that is cracked. The gel coat is pretty rough and the edges will require some patching and sanding. Luckly, fiberglass repaires are fairly simple.

That's just about how my bumpers came in, it took some work to even put them on my drag car and we aren't talking about it being ANY kind of show car.

That's why I said "I'm not going to refer this company"

I hope you can get it up to your standards

As long as it fits right, I wont mind sanding it down. could you post a pic of it unmounted? I cant believe they sent you a cracked one.

If you guys could give me a crash course on how to repair fiberglass I'd greatly appreciate it. I bought a grabber spoiler and it was cracked during shipping. It's not bad, only about 3/4 of an inch long towards one of the ends of the spoiler. I was thinking about just pulling it apart a little (without breaking it) and putting some new epoxy in there, and then pushing it back together, (like I said it's not a bad crack and the spoiler is still in one piece, I can just flex the edge along the crack enough to get glue or epoxy in there). You guys think it'll work?

I would use a good epoxy to fix the spoiler. Something like JB Weld would work although it is a little on the thick side and would take some effort to get it in the crack. Devcon makes some 5 and 30 minute epoxies that are thinner and should work good. I use them alot building my model airplanes. If you can get to the back side of the crack, clean it up real good. Then get some light weight fiberglass cloth and saturate it with the epoxy. After you work the epoxy into the crack, put the cloth across the crack on the backside.

Here is a pic of the spoiler.

This is the area I was talking about. The glass is so thin or lacking on the backside. Only the gel coat is keeping it together. I could send it back but it would be more of a hassel than just fixing it myself.

Yuck

I have made better parts in my garage then that thing .

But ,like you said ,for 50 bucks I guess it is a good place to start since you have it already .

will that work on a 74-77 mav ?

is there a part # for this spoiler?

Mavaholic
2003-06-10, 18:14
There is no part#. Just call and ask for it. As far as 74-77, there is no valance panel on these cars so there is nothing to bolt it to.

I studied the picture(actually I was dreaming of it on my car) and I dont see how it mounts to the valance? are there brackets or what?

There is just a small lip across the back side which sheet metal screws are used to attach it to the panel. I will probably go with stainless nuts and bolts instead.

Someone had mentionned in an earlier post that they had used a '69 Mustang chin spoiler on their car, and that it had worked well. Has anyone come across a source for one of those ? (Maybe a good reproduction? They offer everything else, new, for Mustangs!!!) John B.

MAS also offers mustang front spoilers.
