According to the "Old Cars Price Guide"
in perfect show condition the 71 gt is worth: $10,500
in near perfect original condition: $7350
in very good condition, showing wear but needing no work: $4730
good - driveable, needing work to be restored but functional: $2100
    restorable - needs a complete restoration: $1260
    parts car: $420

from your description it is probably worth $2000 - $2100
If you are going to restore it it is worth $10,500 minus what you need to do to get it there.
If you are not going to restore it then you can get other Comets and make them into a clone for less money.
