wiper arm pivot gasket

    Does anybody know where I can get a wiper arm pivot gasket? Mine is leaking again and I need to replace it. If not than I'll make another one. Also what is a good sealant to use on this gasket that will last and waterproof?

    I never realized they served any purpose ... does water leak in your car without it?

    My best guess is that it was put on there to keep water from going down into the driver's side cowl vent "hat".

    When you remove the pivot arm there from the cowl there is a cork gasket. Its not the rubber sleeve that is on top.

    Oh.....I would just make one of those. Put a little RTV sealant on it.

    Still....that shouldn't be leaking. I would look around elsewhere for a leak.

    Well I'll make another done that before. I will try the RTV sealant. Maybe I'm using the wrong stuff.
