Automatic Shifter Lever Knob

    Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P
    I have seen in the new Auto Krafters that they have a Shifter Lever Knob replacement. It looks like it screws off. But on mine it sure doesn't look like it screws off. Whats the dealo with it? does it just pop off?

    1972 Maverick 2 door.Original V-8 3 spd std shift.Also a 72 one owner Sprint sporting a 351 Windsor
    Are you referring to the factory replacement T-handel??? It should have a set screw on it like the replacement.:hmmm:

    It takes an allen wrench to remove the factory set screw. It probably faces the dash.

    But, is it a 1 button on the left which is what factory Maverick/Comet shifters had, or is it a 2 button one on each side like Mustangs. Are we talking about a floor shifter here?

    nope not the floor shifter... the collum shifter
