I think the picture is reversed, if you blow it up, Maverick is backwards.
I'm boycotting Fresh Cherries until they come out with a correct 71/72 Grabber with spoiler and hood ...

Mavaholic 2007-08-02, 04:32 Do they have a web sight?
A_Bartle 2007-08-02, 07:20 It's nice to see our cars are getting recognized and remembered by the public. I'm just excited that there are 1:24 scale models available, and the Grabber addition is nice. Yeah, I'm sure the model year '72 would be the best "Grabber" to create, but I'm just glad that they created a Maverick in the first place!
rayzorsharp 2007-08-02, 08:04 Well, they have the basic body now. I'm betting they'll soon have a Sprint, Stallion, and hopefully 71/72 Grabbers since they'll have to change the hood (and small bumbers). At any rate they are moving in the right direction! :)

If you pull the bumpers off, they have a front and rear valance (my front bumper fell off when I had the car in my pocket while eating ice cream at the Round-up) So it would be an easy change to make small bumpers and a different hood.
newtoford 2007-08-02, 14:32 the big bumper maverick doesnt hace the right 1/4 extensions for a small bumper swap though. the front end should be no problem though

Cool...and I could steal one of the rear bumpers from one of the Comet versions. Hmmm...wonder if Maverick Man could make us a carbon fiber Grabber hood for these??? :D Heck...might as well go for the bumpers too!!! :bananaman

It's true, the Stallion is coming out later in the year. :yup: (or at least that is the projected timeline :( ) They might as well use up all the big bumper versions/styles first before working on the 70-72 versions. So far, it's not out of the question so sometime in the future, we may see what we are all waiting for. At least it sounds like they are trying to get everyone covered. One step at a time...

Jay, any chance on a group deal?

Did your refunds ever reach the people you were supposed to send them to?

Hmmm, but it's only been 3 weeks since Stefan posted this message:
Guys, please let me know if you get your refunds within the next two weeks.
The mail is evidently running a little slow...surely it's on the way. :(
Jay..... 2007-08-03, 00:41 Jay, any chance on a group deal?
I'm not sure we got much of a deal last time with the 1:64 mavericks. What did it come out to, like a $1.70 each for the case plus shipping. It was more convienence than a deal so to speak. However, the set of four 1:24 Maverick Grabbers at $36.00 plus shipping sounds reasonable. She (Yu) charged me $10.00 for shipping to Chicago from Cali.
So, $11.50 per car shipped seems like a pretty good deal to me. A few bucks cheaper than Evil-bay ($20.00+ per car shipped on average) and much better than waiting for them to show up at WalFart. If they would ever show up... All the Wallys' in my area still have shelves full of :Blasting: Pintos. It could be Years before I would see them here.
My :2cents: ...
newtoford 2007-08-03, 03:12 my local walmarts seem to circulate the 1:64's pretty quickly but the same 1:24 pintos and grimlins have been sitting on the shelves since last year. a few extra bucks is no big deal if its the diffrence between getting them or not

Man, I guess it was late last night when I wrote that.
Reading it now, It seems to have come off as more of a rant than an answer to the question Stefan asked. Sorry...
In regaurds to a "Group Deal" I'd have to say not yet. Maurice at MotorMax came to me with the case purchase for the 1:64 Mavericks. From what I was told the set of four, in the tray as shown in the picture is the way they are selling them to dealers for resale to the rest of the market (you and I) either individually or as the set... I was going to ask them if they might set up a package to get all the production models in a set (i.e. Four Comets, four Mavericks and four Maverick Grabbers) for us to buy directly for us as members. I think that by the time that would be arranged most of us would have at least some of them and wouldn't buy a full set. I am still working on getting them to produce an exclusive to the MCCI with a special logo or paint job on a Maverick and/or Comet just for us. :2thumbs: That is my ultimate goal... They haven't said no so I will keep asking...
I hope this is a little more informative than what I wrote last night.
Jay.....
Jay can you see if Yu can set up another similar deal? Thanks.
Jay..... 2007-08-04, 00:48 Jay can you see if Yu can set up another similar deal? Thanks.
Sure, I'll write her tomorrow but first, what kind of pcs. did you want me to ask about? Should I shoot for the moon and tell her we would like a case with one of each car in each color? Or... were you looking to get a case of something in particular...? Either way I'll ask...
LMK, Jay.....
Some sort of Maverick package and some sort of Comet Package would be fine. I would like to have each car individually packaged if possible. Thanks Jay.

1/64 is too small. I'm still waiting for a decent 1/18 scale die-cast Maverick...
newtoford 2007-08-06, 22:36 maybe the indian threat is still alive and well down in that part of TX?

Maurice at MotorMax just got back to me on the package deals and this is what he said:
"There will only be two colors of each the Maverick and Comet in individual packaging. The tray version is the only way to get all the colors of each model."
Sorry everyone... I was hoping to get each in its' own package for display purposes too.
I'll keep you all updated if anything changes...
Jay.....
