my maverick had 225/70/14 all around but when I would turn real sharp they would rub. Right now I have some old 195/75/14 on the front. The work ok. I am going to buy new tires for the front and I was wondering what size I should get

195/75 R15s on the only proper rim for these type cars.
Cragar SS.
215/60-15.
I prefer a 225/60-15, but it's a little to tall for the way I lowered the front.
Yours rubbed because they were too tall. You need a 60-series if you want a 225 width...
Thats what I was thinking but I am going with 14 inch because I have 4 real nice aluminum wheels.
Same applies with 14-inch wheels.
I ran a 235/60-14 for years (before I lowered the front). No way I could do that with a 70-series..

205/70 front,225/70 rear.these will look ok if all 4 wheels are the same size.
195/75 front,225/70 rear.these need staggered wheel sizes,5"/7" or 6"/7"
215/60 front,245/60 rear.these look best w/6"/7" or 7"/8"
The shorter 60s look good on a car that's lowered (or stock and sagging)a bit,but if it sits up nice & proud they tend to leave too much fenderwell showing for me.Unfortunately the 245/60 is the tallest 60 available in 14",and it's only about 24.5" tall(depending on manufacturer)while the 225/70 is around 26.5" tall.
mine are 215/45/17 on the front

That's all true, except 245/60-14s are 25-1/2" tall, not 24-1/2"... ;)

235/60/16 all around but wil go to narrower tire in the front this fall and lower the front end. I had to pull out the fender a little for clearance.

215/70/15 no problems with rubbing. 7 inch wheel
245-50-14... dont remember them rubbing, just kinda tough to turn if sitting still, which I try to avoid doing.
