This is about the '76 302.
Alright, I managed to get the distrib pieced together with 351 parts. It looks complete. I can't find a coil anywhere under the hood, so I assume it has been ganked. I have the old coil from my 250. Think that would work?

The book only shows one wire connecting to the coil on the electronic ignition mav, where as my 250 has a pos and neg.

If the coil will work, which wire am I looking for?

    THanks.

The + terminal goes to 12v and the - terminal goes to the dist.

Cool, I found two wires that looked like coil wires and hooked em up. Poured some gas down its throat and it tried to start! :yahoo:

When it fired, it blew out a cloud of dust that scared the hell outta me.

I'd like to add that the +12 volts is coming from the ignition switch...not just a constant hot line. If that were the case you cannot shut it off.
