If there is someone here using the EMail Mavman, I have been getting virus containing email from you.

You may want to scan your computer!

That worm klez virus crashed our desktop at home.
It apparently peeks into your address book and sends
itself to people you know or have sent or received e-mails from.
Mine was the ...'Look at my beautiful girlfriend'... virus.
It came addressed from Craig Selvey, but Craig didn't send it. I opened it thinking maybe Selvey had sent me a picture, but he didn't know anything about it.
It has the power top disable your antivirus software
if it has not been updated to handle this particular
virus.
I had to have the hard drive erased and reformatted....
So, Watch out and update those anti-virus programs!

I use a no-frills (but good) free anti-virus program call AVG. It hasn't let me down yet.

The "no-frills" free version will only update when you invoke the command. I stay on top of this and all has been well (so far).

You can download it at

Good Luck,

It was probably from me. I got the work_klez.h virus 4 times last week, cleaned it 4 times and it's still acting up. Had over 1700 infected files that had to be deleted. I wonder if anyone else would like to find the person who came up with the whole virus idea?

Little red,
that's how I got it, except it wasn't from Craig. It was from an old friend who I havent heard from in ages..subject line was "hi, how are you?" Of course I opened it...the problems started there. After wiping both drives and reinstalling both os's, we're back to "normal", if there is a such thing.
