I have been browsing this site for the last six months as I went through the process of bringing life back to my Maverick. HIgh school car that sat after college, marriage etc... After a looooong time (years) I started it last week and smoked a few stripes down the street, FUN! Now it is in the garage getting the engine removed and new gaskets, bearigs etc..and a bit of engine compartment repainting. But you folks have ben GREAT! I have borrowed a lot of ideas and tips from all of you. I will keep you updated on the project and the track times when I get there.. Scott
Hey Scott! Welcome aboard! I couldn't help notice you are from Santa Rosa....Hey there neighbor! (I am in Sebastopol) Is isn't the same Scott in Santa Rosa who has the 71 (I think) Grabber Green Grabber is it? If not, I guess there are two Scotts in Santa Rosa with Mavs! Cool! Anyway, welcome aboard, and I would love to meet you sometime. Sounds like your project won't be ready for a while. The reason I ask is because we are having a get together in early September at the Fun Ford Sunday Car Show in Vallejo. Santa Rosa Hey Corbin, My Maverick is green at the moment. Running Cragar SST's and used to be driven A LOT! Engine is coming out this week for new gaskets etc.. It is on the road though, I had new exhaust done last week, 2 1/2 to flowmaster 40's, love the sound. Yopu may have seen it, though I graduated in '83 and the last time it was at Sears Point was 1985! Scott
Scott, nope, never seen it... Sounds like a great car, though. I, too, love the sound of 2 chamber 40 series Flows. The only difference is mine are 2.25 inch. I got them done a Johnny Franklin's about a year and a half ago. Hope to see you around sometime! Keep in touch. -Corbin
