well were should i start... it took some time to get the tranny into place... i had to remove the trans mount that goes across the car to get clearence for the trans to bolt up,so i have to build another one... how strong should it be? or should i say will the side rails (those uni-body things?) be good to hold it.. iam planning on welding a 1 1/2 inch steel tube from that to build a mount.. also how could i tell if the tranny is in the right spot? it looks to be faceing the pass side a little... iam not really sure about this but i really dont want my new tranny turning out as road kill. any help will be greatly apperciated.

I'm not real sure why your having so much trouble with the T10 mount location. I ran a T10 in my 72 for years and it was a drop in swap for the 3 speed. does yours have the 2 mount holes on the transmission in line with the drive train or perpendicular to it? I know the 3 speed is perpendicular and not all transmission mounts are set up for the inline mount. If they are inline and your trans mount doesn't have the holes to match, all you have to do is get a new mount. I just got one from carparts.com that had holes for both mounting patterns.
