When you say the dipstick into the pan, do you mean literally? My dipstick enters the case a few inches above the pan. I believe it is out of a cougar. I am in the process of pulling the motor and adding a new torque converter. The tranny has always shifted very well (just a shift kit) and hard and I have had no problems with it. Using Old Guys cheater method of measuring bolt size it is the large circle, 11/ 1/4 I believe. Scott
