Hey guys, I'm heading to Indy tomorrow morning to go to the US Nationals. I've been several times in the past, but it's always been on Sunday or Monday, and I only got to see the Pro cars run. I'm more of a grassroots doorslammer guy, and have always wanted to go at the beginning of the week to see the "little" guys run. I like the thought of watching guys that I may have to race someday. Well. this year it worked out where I can go, so I'm hoping to see some Mavs in Super Gas qualifications. If so, I'm taking the digital camera. I'll let everyone know how it went Thursday. I have to come back tomorrow night because I have to work Thursday morning, but I'll probably head back Friday and Saturday, but I'm not sure yet, I have a lot of work to get done, and don't know if I can afford to spend that many days out of town.
No Mavs @ Indy Well, It was a long day yesterday, maed longer by the fact that I did not see any Mavs @ the US Nationals! I got to see the Stock, Super Stock, Super Gas, and Super Comp qualifying runs. Although there were not any Mavs or Comets, there were a LOT of Hemi Cudas running for the Hemi Shootout. It's just plain cool to see 9-second 140 mph big, old, and heavy cars.
Hey Maxx..... you should have swung by Louisville and picked me up! I have always wanted to go, just never have the time. Maybe next year. I might even take the ole mav. and race it!
