Are there any lower profile valve covers available for a 428 than the ones that came stock???

If it has the cobra style aluminum ones the stamped steel ones from any other fe should fit.

Its not a cobra jet, it is in a 66 t-bird i have. I was just wondering if there were any valve covers that are lower in profile than the factory ones, in order to give more room to work. There is not alot of room to change the plugs. I might not have the right tools but I couldn't get to them without taking the valve covers off. I got the passenger side off no problem but the driver side has the A/C compressor and the brake booster in the way and I cant even get the valve cover off without moving the A/C unit. I feel there is an easier way but I am just a rookie!!

Never been under one myself but sometimes it's easier from the bottom or the sides... i'm sure you thought of that.
In my younger years, plugs were always done from the top, then I got a job where they had a lift. I began to see all types of different approaches, even if I had to use a long extension or remove a wheel...

Not sure on valve covers for you, but they aren't all that tall to start with stock.

I have a 390 in a 66 F-100 with headers, power steering and power brakes, and its not all that hard to get to. (of course this isnt a car either) but I dont think shorter valve covers are gonna help much. (not sure on what you have either)
