I found a 72 in a local yard today. The bumpers were pretty straight but had a heavy coat of rust. Nothing through. I know everyone's been saying how hard they are to come by so, as cores, do you think their worth $50 each? I tried to talk him down because of the condition but he wont budge.

One time I insisted to have a heavily rusted core replated. I told them I would pay in advance (which I did) and let me have my way. They had to grind it in some places so much due to pitting that it put small holes in the metal, nuttin left to grind. What I got was a straight but swiss cheese bumper. I learned my lesson.
