I need a real good picture of these headers in the car. The area in question is the drivers side where the tranny and motor bolt up. My concern is my midplate. I am thinking that not even notching that plate will give me the clearence I I need. So if someone guy get me a clean shot of that area, I would appreciate it! Thanks.
A buddy of mine has limited space in a hot-rod he's working on and is using a cross-brace welded to front tubes of his 10pt cage - the mid-plate is attached to it using bolts - for easier removal of engine and/or tranny. This is a pic of the 6208's outside the car on a 302 block - don't know if it helps or not. I'll try to remember to take a few pics tomorrow as well (installed). -Rick
MPG is a company in CO. They make that brace for Mustangs so it needs to be shortened and retapped to fit our cars. http://www.mpgheads.com/
I am going to fabricate a brace like that for my car this winter. I have an idea in my head to do it differently, dunno if it is a good or bad idea, but I will find out. And so will everyone here when I get it done. Dan
