So all my fellow maverick brothers and sisters, most of you know i just traded for a 69.5 maverick with black interior. Im going to v8 it.I want opinions ,i have a friend who ownes a wrecking yard and he told me he has a steal of a deal for me ,its a 2000 mustang with the last of the 5.0 ltr HO(120.000 klm) with 5 speed tranny and the computer for 900.00 .Is this a good deal ,i think so. Will this be a hard swap and is it worth the effort.

the 95 mustang was the last one to get the 5.0 motor. 96 and newer only have 4.6 liter motors or the cobra R had a 5.4 liter. Your guy either has the year wrong or the motor wrong or somebody has swaped a 5.0 in to a 2000 mustang and you cant trust the milage on that.

what he said, and if its a 4.6 forget about putting that in the Mav unless your putting a Mustang ll front suspension under there. 4.6's are wider than 460's or 429's!

its probably me got the year wrong ,its the 5.0 HO but its in the first year of the new body style a real early 96,so that would be 96 correct, fist year of new body style and last of the 5.0 HO. Is this a good price and swap for a 69.5

1995 was the last year the 5.0l was offered in the mustang.
    1994 was the body change
1996 was the start of modulars 4.6l sohc and dohc in mustangs
