hey, just curious if the 250 a/c setup is the same as the 302 a/c setup

in progress of swapping t a 302 and this answer will sway me to possibly rip out the a/c ad get an a/c delete kit or keep it

    thanks in advance

My understanding is that the only difference will be the mounting bracket for the compressor. The hose lengths may be different...

Hoses are different, brackets are different, pulleys are different. I have a 72 6 cylinder here and a 72 V8, Not sure if all are the same but the 6 has a dual pulley clutch while the V8 has a single pulley. Also looks like the diameters are different not that it will matter much. Im not sure if the dual pulley clutches will be in the right location to work on a V8.

so you think it may be easier to just rip out the a/c stuff

    btw, brainsboy is youre i6 a 250?

I dont know anything about 6's so I cant tell you which 6 I have.

There are kits but they are expensive. Im also not sure if the original a/c systems work well. A few people have commented to me that the original systems in the 70's didnt work well but Im not a baby boomer so I dont know for sure.
