    I changed out my dash to a 72, I had/have a 73.
I need to know if the switches are different.

Was your 72 made pre or post 1/3/72 ? Book shows a change in headlight switches based on that date. Post would be the same as your 73 - pre is different. According to the book .........

I really don't know. I only bought the dash. The holes are different.

At some point in the history of the assembly of a Maverick...the wiper switch was "flipped" over in the hole by the factory. Not sure what year it was.

You can remove the backing plate and install the correct backinbg plate and mount it in your current dash. Once you have the correct backing plate...you can install your switch. I had to do it in my 1972.

Your talking about that metal piece that has the two holes for both switches? I have both. I hope I did good by ordering the headlight switch for a 72, $15 for a BW "lifetime warranty". Wiper switch not available. Is this true? I requested and bought a 73 wiper switch from you, I sure hope it will fit. No biggie if not, just hope it does.
