I was looking at this unit by auburn. http://www.ronsmachiningservice.net/servlet/the-503/NEW-AUBURN-GEAR-PRO/Detail Does anyone on here use this one. Just wanted to know what if any problems I would run into during install. I am also going with these gears. http://www.ronsmachiningservice.net/servlet/the-1683/FORD-8"-MUSTANG-FALCON/Detail What elso should be done while I am installing these items. Do I need new bearings? Any help would be great. Thanks...

I have one of these Auburn units in my diff, and have never had a problem with it. You should get the installation kit when installing the Auburn unit, both to ensure a good install and to keep the warranty. I have 3:55 gears also, but they are Ford stock gears. No problems in over 4yrs in the car.

Yes, the 25 spline will not work. All 8" diffs are 28 spline, unless you mean the pinion spline for the yoke. Yes, the Auburn will burn both tires in a straight line, but will ratchet when you turn a corner. Mine clicks a bit, but so far no problems.

I am talking about the pinion being 25. I am safe in saying it will work then.

I think so. You will like it. BTW, do NOT use synthetic gear gear fluid in the unit, unless it says it is ok. Mine worked ok, just chattered more. I didn't have a install guide, so had to just try it. Good luck!
