Working on my stock 302 engine and replacing the dual exhaust with new headers and flowmaster mufflers. Looked at buying the Flow master u fit kit, but looks like a lot of work. Are they any pre-fab exhaus kits? Not sure if mustang kits will fit the maverick chassis

There are no specific kits for a maverick.A good exhaust fab shop should be able to set you up.Oh!! Welcome to the madness!!!

I am actually removing my 73 Comets exhaust tomorrow and beginning the dreaded header install. Should be fun to do by myself...:coco:

Keep in mind the 70 Maverick did not have staggered shocks and neither did the Mustangs that the kit was designed for. If you try to put it on a 71-77, the staggered shock aranegment may cause a few more issues.

paint, you won't have a ny trouble. like he said, when you go to put in the bolts, I used a 7/16 OE wrench, a socket, an allen wrench and the swivel hex socket that usually comes with your bolts. just keep trying different tools till you find the opne that works. Don't forget the gaskets like I did the first time.
    LOL
