I had the original exhaust work done at a place called Dad's Garage in San Diego and it was a pretty poorly done work. Everything was coming loose. I got a referral from Bryant (at San Diego Gear and Axle) to go to this David Chapelle guy who does amazing work with suspension, exhaust, roll cages etc. My bill came out to $200 and this guy couldn't be more meticulous. He actually invoiced me at $260 estimate but it came out to less because we just kept the old mufflers and turn down before the axle.

This is what it looked like before:

The guy doing the work is David himself, he's been on a bunch of TV shows, didn't recognize him at first:

What he did is basically cut off the old flange which was too thin and bent up and welded on these metal flanges which were pretty thick.

Then he held a new plate in with bolts and held the bent pipe to it and tack welded them. Went back and welded them up real clean, spray painted them and everything.

This device was so cool, it would not only do all the bends he needed but had this part that basically expanded the diameter of the tubing or in this case the muffler:

And here it is all finished up and solid as a rock.

Still need to put in new exhaust gaskets and tighten up the bolts on the driver side but otherwise much better.

    Really nice work!!!

As for the turn downs mine is brain rattling with the 44's. Cant wait to get tail pipes on it. Likely depends on the muffler. Mine drones around 2500rpm.

Mashouri, if you keep this stuff up, you are going to have one heck of a good looking and running car. Everything looks great. Keep it up

i heard and saw it before and after. it sounds realy nice. its not loud at all. i belive he is using a basic replacement muffler so its not loud. its got a nice rumble but not to loud to distrub the pice. Dave did and always does really good work. hes done exhast work, sub frame connecter, and a 10 point cage in my car.

Yea, I've seen the sub frame connectors on Bryant's car and they are sweet.

It's really not too bad of a rumble in the car for turn downs. I had 40's flowmasters in the past which also were turn downs and that was pretty rough. I luv this setup.
