i have a 64 mercury comet. i just got it recently so im slowly learning. the day i got it the break lights worked fine. two days later the break lights stopped working after i got it out of the shop. so my question is, is it a bad fuse or something not hooked up right?
    thanks :)

Check the brake light switch. I'm not really sure where it's located on your car, but if it's like later Fords, it will be on the brake pedal where the rod to the master cylinder attaches. Simply jump the two wires together and see if the brake lights come on. If they do, the switch is the problem (it's the most common problem).

Your brake light switch is on the master cylinder. The dome light and brake light fuse is the same fuse. If your dome light is working then the fuse is good. You might have a bad brake light switch or burned bulbs. Does the turn signals work?.
