I've been hunting around for the best deals I can find on parts for my maverick, particularly I'm trying to put togeather parts for a rear disk conversion and rear gears... I'm been primarily checking rockauto and summit racing... rockauto seems to have the cheapest cost but the shipping is rediculas, summit has cheaper shipping but the parts are more expensive. I mean I don't need my parts in 3days which is the cheapest shipping from rockauto, why don't they have standard ground shipping? Is there any other places that would be cheaper? What would be useable from a salvage yard? when I got the backing plates, caliper and brake pads I'm not sure if the pads would be useable but they look new I just thought I would hit them with brake cleaner and call it good, I'm temped to go to another yard and try to find rotors and ebrake shoes (the rotors on the donor vehicle had to be hammered off the axles due to corrosion, and the ebrake shoes fell apart during the hammering)... then again the salvage yards around me don't exactly give good prices and the Pick-N-Pull only had one explorer with rear disks which is the one I already dealt with... I'd appreciate some help on the matter. thanks. I work at Wal-Mart so I have a very tight budget, I'm just getting tired of procrastinating on everything, waiting for the slim chance that I can save a couple bucks and would like to actually get some things done.
