    afaik a four speed was never an option on the ford maverick. if there are 4-speed mavericks in existence, they are not factory.

    @GreenVanMan: That was my thought, too. They were too cheap to afford that last gear. Might as well have had 3 on the tree. Then again, 3-speeds were not uncommon in the bigger cars for some reason.

    I heard mavericks never came with V8s or bucket seats either.

    Personally I would love a 3 on the tree.

    there were 3 on the tree ones, i almost bought a 70 with 200 and three on the tree but ended up needing money for other things. they can sing all their cheap car songs but guess whats still rolling, meanwhile they drive a new car getting almost the same mileage and that is built much cheaper when put in perspective.....
