Well I've restored and finished almost everything on my maverick and now all I have left is the suspension. The entire underside was undercoated since the original owner bought, so rust wise it's free but what should I look into saving up for and buying to kind of fix up my front suspension and crazy do dads underneath to know shes 100% safe even though I drive her often.

-the only things ive replaced is the shocks front and back and leaf spring shackles as far as suspenion goes.

im gonna save my money and I wanted your guys oipinions on what to put in my cart.

after 30 years whats bound to have wore out under there? :hmmm:

    thanks

    hey, where r u from?

as for the car, you should need new upper ball joints at least. they're usually the first thing to be bad on the suspension of our cars

    Save up for:
New rear leaf springs/bushings and U Bolts
New front suspesion components should include but not limited to:
    Upper/lower ball joints
    Upper/lower A arm bushings
Sway bar bushings/end links (these you can go with poly urethane on)
New strut rod bushings (dont use poly here)
Inner/outer tie rod ends and idler arm
    If you have power steering:
    Control valve re-build/replacement
    Power assist ram replacement
    Any and all PS lines
Pitman arm ball socket repair/replacement...this includes center link/drag link if its sloppy at the pitman arm.
Disc brakes for the front if you dont have em.
    New front coil springs
Finally...An alignment when its all together and done.
Personally...I would replace the upper and lower controll arms as assemblies rather than fight with em to re-do em.
