What do you think of air shocks??

    The 70 i bought recently had them on the car and we put air in them and it raise the car a very nice amount all the suspension looks pretty good and the leaf springs are arched real nice? My mechanic said they are "the high dollar ones" so what do you think about me taking them for my car.

    keep them if you want a hole in your floor...do a search on air shocks then youll see.

    The shock mounts wont take the extra load in these cars. Dont do it or you can do it then I can say I told ya so. I love that phrase.:):)

    I've run 'em with A LITTLE air in 'em.Jack it up all the way and the shocks will eventually come through the trunk.They're just a crutch,not a fix.

    sure you can weld extra suports to give them strenght. just make sure where you weld to is strong enough. its beter to just replace the leafspings. air shocks are a band aid for saging leaf springs. try a search on leafsprings while your searching.

    i run about 10 psi in mine. not enough to really even raise it any dont want the stress on my floor pan.

    Air shocks suck. The previous owner of my Sprint put them on it - when I start to drive that car they will be taken off.
