I recently bought this steel carport just for the Maverick. I don't have a garage and since we are planning on moving some time soon I thought this was the next best thing. Im in the woods and sticks, large dead branches and acorns are constantly dropping in the driveway. This should keep it safe for now. $1100.00 installed ....

That looks like a pretty nice one. What's the size on it?:)

Very nice! I just had one like that put up to protect my truck and my wifes car for the same reason. I got trees everywhere. Mine is a 24X24. It was $1800 installed...well worth the cost. Heck, we moved the cars out a couple months ago for a family reunion. Too many kids to cut loose inside the house. It was great though...nice breeze and outa the sun. :)

Those are nice to have. My last place had one and I loved it!

Did they tie it down when they installed it?

If not, I highly suggest getting some mobile home tie downs and metal strap and doing so to prevent what happened to 71gold from happening to you. Mine had them and it survived 3/4 of the way through Hurricane Hugo. The winds it mostly survived with light damage... The pine tree deciding to pay it a visit killed it.

Its 12' X 21' and 6' tall at the ends. I needed to be able to drive between the port and the house to get into the back yard through the gate. Its just big enough for one car. The Maverick fits great, The Honda Ridgeline is a little tight, just clears the roof.

Scott one side is bolted to the concrete driveway and the otherside hung past that so its bolted on 6X6's that are staked down with 4' long 3/4 inch steel rods. The port is sitting between two houses with a fence across the back and down one side. I don't think that wind will be a factor in my case. The trees seem to break up the wind pretty well.
