My car has manual drums now. Going to change it over to discs. What would you recomend.... power or manual?

If power, then where could I source the parts from?

This is the numbers you want. I got the 9786 with mounting studs 1 1/2" longer. Already got it mocked up on the Comet. Fits great even with mechanical clutch linkage.

9782 Power Brake booster / dual piston Master cyl. - Combo - Disc/Drum

I dont have my bracket in the car but as I recall you probably have to drill the threads out because the original bolts through the firewall from the outside. The new booster has studs so you will need to put nuts on the inside.

Yea its a pretty stupid design but there is always the purest who wants factory stuff. One sure way to need it is to throw it away.

this is some of the most painful wisdom you will gain. i cant tell you how many good appliances i have had to re buy after they were thrown away due to lack of use.... the only other way is to set it where you cant find it until after you have replaced it....
