I finally found and bought a vertical band saw. It is made by Grob, has a blade welder on it, tilt table, power feed. Got it for 600.00 in an estate sale. How did I EVER get by with out one of these? I have been making small tabs out of 1/2 plate with this thing. I can't recommend having one enough!

I agree with you. I converted a SEARS a couple of years ago, with a gear reduction drive and use it for both metal and wood. You got a very good deal.
