My steering column has been squeaking for along time now and I'm trying to figure out what exactly is doing it... I first spaced my steering wheel and cover out a little (I have a aftermarket steering wheel) but that didn't help... I would assumne that theres a bearing toward the top but I have no idea how far down it is... I have only been able to get as far as the turn signal cancel cam but couldn't remove it, it looked like it had rivits holding it down... I would appreciate any input. thank you.

The steering wheels often squeek, (aftermarket) because the new hub rubs against the old seating.

To get the turn signal out, you have to remove (2, i think) screws. then it should pry out with a screwdriver.

it was the hub that I spaced out, I didn't know what to call it...
