Alright so I had another topic about where to get a carb rebuild kit and other stuff...but say I just keep my current carb, no rebuild and just clean it....

Whats the proper way to clean a carb? Does this require taking it apart? If so, wouldn't I have to purchase new gaskets?

Usually a complete disassemble, purchasing a "rebuild kit" which will replace a bunch of springs, most gaskets, and rubber parts. Soaking the dirty parts and/or scrubbing, then reassembly.

Buy a reputable rebuild kit and instructions will be pretty good.

No different than putting together a model car, except the parts are strewn across your garage or kitchen, and not stuck in an orderly fashion to plastic "trees".

I didn`t redo your posts on this. You aint gonna hurt anything by putting gasket under carb, tighten down and try it. Keep your eye oncarb an make sure no gas leaks! I would try it an see if you can get car smoother running
